 بعد ان تأثر تطبيق WhatsApp بتوقف العديد من ملايين المستخدمين لمنصته، وهذا بعد أن أعلنت منصة التطبيق، عن تعديل كبير في سياسة الخصوصيه التي تم تأجيل تنفيذها لشهر مايو القادم، والتي تفرض على جميع المستخدمين الموافقة إجباري علي شروط الخدمة الجديدة والتي تنص على مشاركة بيانات المستخدمين مع موقع Facebook المالك لنفس المنصه وهذا لأغراض الربح الإعلانية، لا يزال يعمل على تطوير ميزات جديدة لمستخدميه.


وبحسب ما ذكره موقع "indian express"، بدأ تطبيق واتساب في طرح اهم ميزه وهي مكالمات الفيديو والصوت لمزيد من مستخدمي إصدار سطح المكتب (الكمبيوتر) ، على الرغم من ان هذه المميزات ما زالت حتى الآن في المرحلة التجريبية، ولكنها متاحة لعدد بسيط من المستخدمين فقط ولكن لن يستلمها الجميع على الفور.

أكد واتساب أن هذه الميزة ستبدأ في الظهور تدريجيا خلال العام الجاري، وحسب ما ذكرت وكالة "Reuters" في شهر ديسمبر 2020، أن ميزة الاتصال الصوتي والمرئي لا تتوفر إلا في إصدار الهاتف المحمول من تطبيق المراسلة.


بالرغم من أن في الأوقات السابقة، كانت تعمل ميزة الاتصال لمستخدمين محددين والآن، بدأ العديد من الأشخاص في رؤية الخيار على إصدار واتساب WhatsApp Web، ومن المتوقع أن تصدر الشركة النسخة المستقرة في الأشهر المقبلة.

ونشر بعض المستخدمين الذين يرون ان خيار الاتصال في إصدار سطح المكتب (الكمبيوتر) ، لقطات شاشة للميزة الجديدة على موقع Twitter في إضافة ميزة جديدة تهمّ الكثيرين من مستخدمي "واتساب ويب"، من شأنها أن تسمحَ لهم بإجراء مكالمات صوتية ومرئية مباشرة من أجهزة الكمبيوتر الخاصة بهم.

وتعمل هذه الميزة اذا كان المستخدم هو المتلقي للمكالمة، على إظهار نافذة منبثقة منفصلة له مع جهة الاتصال المتصلة، مع ظهور الاسم وصورة الملف الشخصي، بالإضافة إلى زر لقبول المكالمة، و زر اخر للرد عليها.

اما عن إجراء المستخدم للمكالمة بنفسه، سيظهر الزر المخصص لإجراء المكالمات بجوار اسم جهة الاتصال التي يريد المستخدم الإتصال بها، وعند إجراء هذه المكالمة فإن النافذة المنبثقة ستظهر له أيضًا، ولكن بحجم أصغر مع زر لكتم الميكروفون، وزر آخر لتفعيل كاميرة الحاسوب، بالإضافة إلى زر لإنهاء المكالمة، وزر يعرض قائمة خاصة.
